Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a class?
Classes typically last 3 hours, during which you’ll have time to weave one of our beginner baskets.

What does a class cost?
Your first class is $25 and this includes all of the supplies for a beginner basket and teaching fee.
Future classes are $20 for a 3-hour studio session, plus the cost of any supplies for your chosen project.

What if I do not finish my basket during class?
For more advanced baskets, you may need additional studio time to complete your project. Extra studio time can be scheduled at $20 for each additional 3-hour session.

How large is a class?
Classes are kept intimate, with 3-10 students per session.

Yes! You’re welcome to bring food and beverages for Party Classes. We have a fridge available, but please bring any necessary paper goods and be prepared to handle your own cleanup.

Meet Jodi Shebester, our expert basket weaving instructor. A third-generation weaver, Jodi began her journey at just 8 years old and has been dedicated to the craft ever since. He r passion for teaching has taken her across the country, sharing her skills at conventions and seminars. As a former president of the North Carolina Basket Weavers Association, Jodi's talent is recognized nationally. She has had seven original designs featured in Crafting Traditions magazine and is renowned for her unique upside-down reverse rewoven border technique.
